waffles

A delightful treat for breakfast or brunch served hot and topped with a good drizzle of Maple Z10 Syrup and your favorite garnish.

Serves: 4

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ T. safflower oil
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking soda (dissolve in small amount of warm water)
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Preheat waffle maker.
  2. Beat eggs in large bowl until fluffy. 
  3. Beat in flour, milk, salt, safflower and bakingsoda and let stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Spray waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray. Pour mix into hot waffle maker. Cook until goldenbrown. Serve hot.

For a festive addition top with the following:

Maple Z10 Syrup

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 cups 100% maple syrup
  • 2 T. Braman Winery Z10 Zinfandel
PREPARATION:

Heat syrup slightly and stir in Z10. Pour desired amount of syrup over waffles and sprinkle with nutmegto taste.
